11 Random Facts About MQ

1. I love baseball. It is my catharsis. When I was a boy I wanted nothing more than to be the 2nd baseman for the San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately, when pitchers started being able to throw curve balls I soon realized that professional baseball was not in the cards for me.

2. The first time I ever got completely smashed it was on Southern Comfort. I eventually made it home and throw up all over my bed and myself, and then proceed to pass out on the contents of my stomach. In the morning my dad open my bedroom door, took a look and whiff and said, "Been drinkin'? Looks like you've got some cleanup to do."

3. My dad gave me my first guitar on my 9th birthday. It was love and hate and first sight.

4. I used to hate my red hair. I got made fun of quite often for having it and freckles. It wasn't until the girls started taking notice of me in high school when I finally excepted the awesomeness that is my red curly locks.

5. I almost died in a drowning accident when I was 13. I don't think I've ever completely gotten over it. Often times, I can close my eyes and still see silhouetted figures pulling on my arms trying to help me. I can still feel the pressure and pain of trying to scream with no air in my lungs as the blood vessels in my eyes exploded one by one.

6. I can't stand cilantro. It tastes like laundry detergent. Nothing will make me spit out my burrito faster than a surprise bite of cilantro. Blah!

7. I don't comprise who I am...for anybody. Either you can love me for who I am and what I do, or don't bother. I have plenty of friends who love me for the person I am and I don't feel the need to waste my time with people who don't embrace the person of me.

8. I sometimes regret how I handled my first relationship breakup when I was 16. I've lived and learned a lot since then. Sorry Melissa for being a huge pain in the ass.

9. I am eternally grateful for sticking with music all these years. Without music I would be completely lost. Through every move, every job change, and every girlfriend, my music has always been there for me.

10. Though most probably wouldn't pin me as this, but I am very pragmatic and calculated. I think a lot before I leap.

11. For most of my life I've hated tomatoes. About 4 years ago I was living in a house with an amazing garden. The person I was living with at the time told me I could help myself to anything in the garden. It was then I started picking the tomatoes and putting them in my salads. Something changed in my taste buds while living among that beautiful garden. I began to love tomatoes, and now I can't get enough of them.
